Is Traffic Evolution Worth The Money?

by John Detlefs on January 14, 2010

by John Detlefs

It’s Official. Google hates affiliate marketers and has decided to ban every marketer that it claims is not following it’s policies for life. For many marketers this has been the “kiss of death” as with 80% of the market, Google has been the obvious, and easiest source of traffic to get into. But now that the Google wells are running dry it’s becoming imperative to find new traffic as quickly as possible. And this is where Jonathan Mizel’s new Traffic Evolution comes in.

Enter Jonathan Mizel’s Traffic Evolution.

So How Does Traffic Evolution Work?

Traffic Evolution is all about alternative sources of paid traffic from the usual Google Adwords, Yahoo and Overture (MSN). This is not a course on internet marketing, or how to get more traffic from the natural search engines.

In this course Jonathan Mizel will show you all of the ad networks that he is using currently, and he will walk you through all of the steps on how to set yourselves up with them, and how to start generating some traffic. He’ll also let you know about any quirks that they may have, so that you don’t get stuck on too many stupid incongruences on the user interface.

The cool thing is that there is a lot less competition for ad inventory in those networks (compared to Google and Yahoo) and so you’ll almost certainly pay less for your clicks. When just a few cents per click can make the difference between a campaign running profitably or losing money then new cheaper sources of traffic become very important.

So Where Does Traffic Evolution Get It Right?

There are two main parts to Traffic Evolution. The first is a series of twelve videos that run you through all of the ad networks that Jonathan Mizel is using, how to sign up, and how to make the most of the traffic that you get. The second thing that you get is access to the members only forum. Generally with a forum of this type (an addition to the main product) the guru in question just lets their members run it, with little interaction from themselves.

But thankfully that hasn’t happened here. Joanthan Mizel seems to keep pretty close tabs on what’s going on in his forum, and he almost always answers a thread that involves him, or asks for a question. He also always answers my emails personally, which in this world that seems to focus on outsourcing as the holy grail, is nice to see, and gives me confidence in his training.

At the moment there is a massive trend towards monthly continuity programs, which can get pretty expensive very quickly, so it was nice to see that Jonathon Mizel has opted to stick with a one off payment of $197 for Traffic Evolution.

I’m sick of paying monthly fees for info products that used to just get a one off charge, so to me this is great!

Where Traffic Evolution Falls Down.

Traffic Evolution is very specialised towards finding new sources of paid traffic. It’s not about converting that traffic into a sale, and it’s not about keyword research or demographics. There is a little bit of information about those things but it’s nothing special.

And that’s about it for the bad!

Who’s Traffic Evolution for?:

**IF YOU ARE NOT AN EXPERIENCED MARKETER DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!**

(for more info on this check out my other Traffic Evolution Review – Jonathan Mizel)

If you’re not currently making some money already on your website, then i don’t recommend that you buy Traffic Evolution. You’re much better off looking at doing some article marketing, or doing something like the 30 Day Challenge, which is a free course by Ed Dale that will show you the ropes.

If you are new to marketing but would really like to get into the world of Pay Per Click, then you should have a look at GoogleCash or Perry Marshall’s Perry Marshall’s Definitive Guide To Adwords. Just go to the video link at the bottom of this article to find out more info on those.

Experienced marketers who are currently doing pay per click shouldn’t worry about this though, and for them Traffic Evolution is a god send, and will get you lots of cheap traffic and generally boost your campaigns. If you’re one of those poor blighters that got banned recently, then this could easily be your saviour!

So, Is Traffic Evolution Good Value For Money?

At $199 Traffic Evolution is pretty good value. True, it’s still $199 but it’s information that you’re not really going to find anywhere else, and don’t forget you get access to the forum, which gets actual genuine interaction from Jonathan Mizel, which is worth $199 by itself. I know that sounds like a blatant plug, but I really mean it!

Traffic Evolution Overall:

In my opinion, you really need to be an experienced marketer to use Traffic Evolution. And if you fit this category, then it’s an excellent buy, and you should get it asap. If you’re not an experienced marketer then you should give this one a miss, or at the very least understand that Traffic Evolution won’t be a stand alone course for you, and you’ll have to use it in conjunction with other courses.

Traffic Evolution Ratings:

1. Usability: 4/5 The information is well laid out, the videos are excellent and the forum well designed.
2. Usefulness: 4/5 IF you’re looking for new sources of traffic that have been tested, this product is excellent!
3. Value for money: (4/5) At $199 it’s not cheap, but when you look at the scarcity of the information and then add the forum then it’s great value for money
4: Overall: 4/5 An excellent package, If you’re looking for new sources of traffic, and if you’re already a fairly experienced marketer.

Some alternatives to Traffic Evolution would be GoogleCash or Perry Marshall’s Definitive Guide To Adwords.
