Step 1: Log into WordPress admin (http://yourdomain.com/wp-admin)
Step 2: Go down the left had side menu in admin and click on “Users” and then either “All users” (if you want to see all of your users) or “Add New” (if you just want to add a new user)

Step 3: If you chose to go to “All Users” then have a look around and when you’re ready click “Add New” (it the button at the top left had corner of the screen).

Step 4: Fill in the username, password (twice) and email of the new user (required) and then add the other details if you want to.
Step 5: Choose the level of access that you want the new user to have.
As a rule of thumb:
- “Administrator” gets to do anything they want to your site (they have the same access that you do)
- “Editor” has the ability to write posts and pages and edit and approve other users posts
- “Author” can write and publish their own posts but can’t touch anything else
- “Contributor” has the ability to write posts that then have to be approved by an editor or administrator
- “Subscriber” only has the ability to look at the website and change their own details.

Step 5: Click “Add New User” and you’re done!
A confirmation email will be sent to the new user, and he/she needs to click the confirmation link before you’ll be able to see the user in the User section.
And that’s it! That’s how you add a new user to WordPress!
